KLVT Classifieds for Friday, September 1, 2017

The donations have been phenomenal. First Baptist Church Corpus asked us to delay the delivery for one week to organize on their end. They already have a semi truck load of water headed out next Wednesday, and at present about 1/2 of a semi truck load of other supplies.  That means a week to gather up more donations, and completely fill the truck trailer. We are taking items at Stueart’s Pit Stop and at First Baptist Church Levelland. Needs are (please no clothing or water) first aid supplies, diapers, wipes, formula, gloves, dust mask, hygiene items, toiletry items, towels, blankets, bug spray, disinfectant wipes, pop up canopies, non perishables. Our community has stepped up in a mighty way. Let’s load out the rest of this semi- truck and show the Gulf Coast.

Levelland High School in conjunction with Levellland ISD are having a fundraiser to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. This fundraiser will be district wide and will start August 29th. We will be having two “Hats” district wide on Thursday August 31st and Thursday September 7th. Students may pay $1 and wear a hat to school on these days. They will also be selling jean passes to teachers for $10.  Each LISD campus has been encouraged to come up with individual fundraisers, and we would like to encourage the community to support these efforts. Levelland ISD is always humbled by the support of our community members and would would like to thank them in advance for helping us help others. Any member of the community that would like to make a donate may contact Tracey Barker 544-5439 or Delight Davis 831-9300.
